Thanksgiving is one of the many holidays where people gather with their family and have a great feast. It’s the big day to be thankful for the blessings you have had. There is also Black Friday on November 28, the day after Thanksgiving. Therefore, the week of Thanksgiving is a week we wait for every year. November is full of being grateful, enjoying the seasons, and probably even spending a lot of cash for things.
November 27 is known as the day to count your blessings and be grateful for what you have. But, it is also the day known for eating a lot of food. You eat food such as turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables, muffins, cheesecake, pumpkin pie, ham, and spaghetti. We drink apple cider, soda, water, and wine. It is also a day to spend time with family and friends. It’s just a good day to celebrate and relax. The day after Thanksgiving is Black Friday. Black Friday is when there’s sales in most stores, and they open really early. People have to rise and shine because the early bird gets the most worms. There are so many great sales and it’s fun spending time with family. You can start early christmas shopping for the best deals. In conclusion, Thanksgiving and Black Friday is a day to spend your money on turkey. It could also be an early start for christmas shopping when the prices are reduced. So, go spend some time with family and cherish what you have before it’s gone.
We see the teachers every day in class, but do you ever wonder how they live outside of school, too? They have families and many hobbies that they regularly do. So, lets get to know them better.
One of the teachers we interviewed is Mrs. Williams, formerly Ms. Glenn. Mrs. Williams used to travel with a stuffed pluto pillow when she used to fly home from college. She also has delivered a baby, which many others have not. Mrs. Williams is considered sarcastic, funny, and bright. Mrs. Williams also likes to read. One surprising thing was that she had almost died at the age of 14! We also learned Ms. Alvarado, Ms. Sevilla, and Mr. Sanchez’s favorite animal is a tiger. Ms. Alvarado’s and Ms. Sevilla’s favorite sport is football. As you can see, teachers have lives outside of school, too. They are not always so serious about education, they like to have fun as well. We know you miss those who have past away, we know it hurts. But, most of us have understand they’re in a better place. Although Dia de los Muertos is the day to be with them and remember them for great personalities. It’s the moment to reunite with your loved one by visiting them. On November 1st and 2nd, we paint skulls and skeletons on our faces as well as fancy traditional clothing. On Dia de los Muertos, family members often go to the graves of loved ones and decorated it with small altars. We celebrate with sugar skulls, food, soda, candy, photos, pan de muertos, candles, flowers, and many other decorations. “Yes I celebrate Dia de los Muertos.
