Does it Ever End!
They say sleep is good for you, but how are we going to get sleep if we’re up at 3 a.m. still doing homework. Teachers then ask why we don't pay attention in class and why are we almost always falling asleep. Well, why do we get so much homework, that the next day we look like zombies moaning and having one eye open and one eye closed. But, then again not everyone has this problem since others complete their homework faster. Teachers should respect our speed level at completing things and processing the information we learn.
Since we process our information at different levels, it affects the amount of time that it takes us to complete our homework. The problem may be that we don’t understand, or that we aren’t focused. Whatever the case may be, teachers and the adults that make up the plans of the day and what our homework is going to be should at least make an effort or at least a small change to help us. “It’s too much homework, they can give us more time and less challenging. It takes about five hours.” pleaded Mariam.
We may also join after school activities that we enjoy, but then again they take our homework completion time away. We are encouraged to join sports and extracurricular activities, but what happens to that homework we still need to do?
I agree, we still need homework to practice what we have learned and to prepare for tests as well as projects. But, in order to go above and beyond at what we do for our education, we may need that extra time to do an outstanding job. I understand that teachers may believe that if they give out a certain amount of homework thats students think they will complete it easily, they might as well not do it. Students might just procrastinate and not even study it. But, can they figure out a solution or at least think about it real hard.
