What is the Den Hallway Challenge you may ask? Well, to explain we all participated in decorating the hallway that corresponds to our grade level. Every morning we would work on during advisory so we wouldn't have so much to do later. The competition was fun yet pressuring and difficult. So, the big question is… What do they win or what are they supposed to do to win?
The 6th grader’s theme was based on medieval time. As 6th grader Alonzo said "The den hallways challenge was fun and pressuring at the same time”(Alonzo, 6th, 2014). We work hard and we try our best to win. The 7th graders theme was based on the 60’s. The 8th graders theme was based on their goals for the future.
Every den was working hard and trying to draw and paint themselves to victory. It was difficult to draw something and to try to hide it so the other dens wouldn’t try to see and do something similar. “Its coming out good and it’s fun and pressuring at the same time”, (Jesus, 8th, 2014)
Even though it was fun to work on, many of us put in a lot of work. At the end, our walls and hallways looked very beautiful and we were proud of all of our work.
